Mungret College Past Pupils Union Mass for Deceased Members

For some time a number of us have considered that there is a gap in our Calendar relative to having a formal mass for all former Mungret men and their families and particularly those who have died in the present year.

In that regard Brian O Flynn has organised with Father Joe Brennan S.J. to say mass in the Church of the Assumption, Booterstown Avenue, County Dublin, at 11:30  a.m. on Saturday the 2nd of December and all are welcome to attend.

Should you have a relative who has died or be aware of any Mungret man who has died in the last year or so, please forward details to brianjoflynn@gmail.com

It was felt that this time of year was the most appropriate time to celebrate the mass.

The church can be reached from the  N11 Stillorgan Road or by the (Black) Rock Road along the coast. There is ample parking.

Booterstown Dart station is only 10 minutes walk away.

The numbers 4; 7 and 46A buses also pass close-by.

It was thought that we should have had a mass at our Reunion in September, however the timetable does not permit this and this provides a second chance for the Union to meet.

Gleeson’s public house, which provides food, is adjacent to the church, for anyone who wishes to avail of same after the mass,

Kind regards,

Brian O Flynn
