Letter From PPU President, Michael Lynch

Dear Mungret Alumni,

This year’s reunion will be on Friday, 2^nd September at Castletroy.  The details are outlined in the enclosed/attached circular. Many thanks to Karl Roche and the PPU Committee for all their good work over the years, with the added mission in 2016 of finding a worthy alternative to Adare Manor.

I greatly enjoy our reunions and I have particularly warm memories of the 2014 reunion when we had an excellent attendance to celebrate in style the 40^th anniversary of the school’s closing. There were many highlights; two in particular – the dinner in the chapel arranged by Roger Fitzgerald and the President’s address by Seamus Dennison – gave the occasion the dignity it deserved.

This year’s event will be neither as lavish nor as formal, but I would encourage you to attend if you can. There will be a special welcome for the Boys of ’66.

Old father time may be our enemy but there is plenty of life in us yet. We have a bond that is very special and we have a camaraderie that is unique. Let’s keep it going!
